Knowledge and information are vital to support the work of sanitation and to transform hygiene but there are huge challenges to synthesise, sort and disseminate information so that it reaches the people who need it most. At the “knowledge cafe”, participants took stock of existing initiatives from CREPA, WaterAid, Arhgyam, IRC and SuSanA and shared their frustrations about not being able to identify relevant information from the wealth of publications and on-line sources, while paradoxically wishing that more information could be made available.
