The Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) is in the process of finalising a number of service delivery documents to guide the rural water and sanitation sub-sector in Ghana. This forms part of efforts to strengthen its mandate to facilitate and regulate the provision of safe drinking water and related sanitation services to rural communities and small towns in Ghana.

The documents include

  • the technical guidelines and standards
  • the project implementation manual
  • the District Operational Manual, and
  • the National Community Water and Sanitation Programme Strategy document

Mr. Benedict Kubabom is the Director of Planning and Investments at the CWSA. His unit is leading the process to develop the documents. In the video below, Mr. Kubabom talks about how these documents will critically enhance service delivery in the rural water sector.
