This guide, developed by WASH Advocates, presents an overview of opportunities for corporations in the USA to invest their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds in the WASH sector.

The guide:

  • lists the benefits for corporations to enagage with the WASH sector
  • provides guidelines for selecting the best WASH solutions
  • provides examples of existing strategies employed by corporations including Caterpillar, CH2M HILL, Coca Cola, Diageo, ExxonMobil, General Electric, GlaxoSmithKline, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble (P&G), Unilever and Xylem Watermark, and 
  • provides an overview of organisations and networks that support private-public partnerships in the WASH sector such as WASHfunders.org, WASH Grantmakers Network, CEO Water Mandate and Global Water Challenge, as well as US trade associations and the US government agencies.
