Abstract

Why is it particularly challenging to realise lasting change for water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)? What do we know about systems thinking and how it has evolved over time in the sector? This short background note for All systems go! WASH systems symposium answers these questions and more.

All systems go! was scheduled between the 12th and 14th of March 2019 in The Hague, the Netherlands. It is the first event exclusively dedicated to discovering and delivering system-based solutions for WASH. Read about the motivations behind the event and how shifting to a holistic systems strengthening approach can lead to more resilient and sustainable services for all.
