Abstract

Countries have embedded SDG 6 aspirations in their strategies by setting national sector objectives. In this context, appropriate sources of data to track progress and for evidence-based action is essential. 

At the All Systems Go Africa symposium 19-21 October 2022, WHO and UNICEF convened a session on the data challenge and how data sources are necessary to provide evidence, and how data can be used for planning and accountability. 

Presenters included: Djoouro Bocoum [National Director of Hydraulics, Ministere Des Mines, Mali] and Didier Allély [WHO]. The session was chaired by Goufrane Mansour [Aguaconsult]

The session was organised under thematic area 3: improving evidence-informed decision making and accountability.
