Abstract

This presentation explains how the Water Sanitation and Hygiene Facility Improvement (WASH FIT) tool helped to improve WASH services in 5 pilot health care facilities (HCF) in Kabarole, Uganda by supporting key building blocks such as institutional capacity, monitoring, planning, infrastructure provision and learning. It concludes with recommendations on using WASH FIT at international, national, district and HCF level.
